Trump gave huge subsidies to farmers; the largest ones went to farmers in Iowa. It was enough to buoy entire small towns there. He essentially bought the vote in Iowa.

Slevin quotes a reporter who knows the state well: “Unless you live here, I don’t think you can appreciate the level of rural white grievance. We think that you can win people over with the issues. I’m not sure that you can.”

I wonder how many people watching this podcast have actually given money to Biden's campaign so he can run effective ads in key media markets that will determine the election? Come on people! If I remember correctly Tim was in Portugal where the American didn't know who Kamala Harris is. It is indeed liberating to be in Portugal (I moved here in 2021) which is a sunny sanitary distance from the daily tsunami of US political and cultural atrocities. However, the distance has given me even more clarity as to the mortal gravity of this election. My abroad vote will be counted in California, sadly.

Its not just the WNBA. Anti-Whitism will be the biggest problem in the Western World for the rest of the 21st Century. From Israel to the United States, we need to have the courage to take our own side in cultural arguments.....just like every other group from China to Africa to the Arab World does. At 48 and after a full career where I traveled and lived in various states in the North East, made more friends that I can count I’ve never known anyone that has been polled. I know people with land lines 😂. Anyway, I’m not saying Trump won’t have black people that vote for him but I can say with confidence he won’t get the “black vote”. The biggest voting block in the black community is women and no way is he getting that vote. We don’t vote against our interests in mass. You’re welcome 😉

What's wild is that most 2A supporters either supported or were pretty ambivalent about the bump stock ban. I couldn't tell you of a single guntuber who argued for keeping them legal. Ammo now costs so much that recreational shooters couldn't even afford to waste it using a bump stock to mag dump into trash. There's zero political risk for politicians to introduce legislation banning them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Claiborne was on Morning Joe and talked about how the polls were really off on African Americans. One of the polls he pointed to was the Maryland senatorial primary. They were off by double digits. I'm an expat who lived in Germany and now lives in Italy. That American he met would be oblivious if they were living in the States. My son lives in Iowa. He says a lot of conservatives have moved to the state.
